How to style a room with just accessories

Sometimes just organizing a room and throwing in some plants, new pillows and a few picture frames does the trick. I love Emily Henderson’s style and how she spruced up this living room- something a quick trip to target, home goods and a plant store/home depot can fix!

re-decorating for a retiree

I love how the interior designer Emily Henderson uses bright colors and awesome patterns in all of her projects. She recently re-did the home of a woman living in a retirement home and turned it into something I would love to live in! Turqouise, teal and coral… GORGEOUS! My favorite part might be the little detail of building glass shelves into the window sills to create a vertical garden.

8 homes under 400 sq feet

This photo is of a 200 Square foot apt. I’m fascinated by the way people can organize and decorate small spaces, and make them look so livable and stylish (a wide angle lens helps too!). Click on the photo to see Apartment Therapy’s top 8 homes under 400 Square feet. Very inspiring

Rawr!

If you know me, you know I’m into the bright and quirky, and sometimes slightly weird things. I saw somethings similar to this posted on a blog awhile back and it made me smile. All you need is some spray paint, a dinosaur toy, and an air plant!

I’m not the most patient person so this is my T-Rex soaking up some sun, trying to dry off.

Airplants, contrary to what I thought before I googled them, do actually need to be soaked in water every week or so.

Once this guy has a permanent home, I’ll throw up a pic of him in his new surroundings.

Gallery Walls

I’m attempting to create a gallery wall, but the furthest I’ve gotten so far is purchasing frames in varying sizes from IKEA. I turned to apartmenttherapy.com for some inspiration and found some really great examples. I think the key is mixing art, items (in shadow boxes) and photography. Click the pic for the article!
