Old made New

My grandmothers shore house is complete with pink and green bathtubs and sinks, don’t worry- they are mixed- one is completely pink, and the other green! Some people (this one in Australia) are embracing this retro tub/sink look and updating the bathroom to complement it. Would you? I think its actually pretty cool looking……

Customized Plates

I think plates with quirkly clean designs are fun- but are usually very $$$ when found at stores like Anthropologie. I found this DIY post on apartment therapy where they used porcelain paint pens to doodle designs on plates and planters. This would be super fun to do for a friends birthday or special occasion with their initials, lyrics etc. Now if only I had better handwriting……

Gallery Walls

I’m attempting to create a gallery wall, but the furthest I’ve gotten so far is purchasing frames in varying sizes from IKEA. I turned to apartmenttherapy.com for some inspiration and found some really great examples. I think the key is mixing art, items (in shadow boxes) and photography. Click the pic for the article!
