Bar Carts

One of my friends has an empty little nook in his kitchen between where the built in cabinets end and the wall is. He is currently keeping his fully stocked bar in the corner of his counter top, taking up some prime real estate. I’ve been trying to keep my eye out for an affordable bar cart, but they all seem to be insanely expensive for what it is. I found these 10 great DIYs of various bar carts. This one, the boldest and brightest, had a former life of being a school AV cart- grey and dingy. I’m sure you remember these from back in grade school when they used to house the projector machine! Click the link to see these amazing projects.

This week I saw a wonderfully decorated minimalist/well designed/relaxed/patterned out accented house. It was so well done that I was convinced that it was staged- down to the picture perfect gallery wall which I wrongly assumed still had the photos that came in the frame! There were great printed pillows in chevron and ikat, beautifully framed prints throughout, a wonderfull gallery wall. If anyone is looking to move to a great 3 bedroom single family home in the West Chester Borough located a 15 minute walk to downtown- I think this one will go fast!!!!

Paint can totally change the feel in a room without changing much else. It can even help give a home more curb appeal! Check out these before and afters of a home that is being listed by Cindy who is one of the partners who heads up my team. Red walls gave the bedroom a more modern look, and painting the outside of the home a dark sandy brown with black shutters brings an elevated class to the home that was formerly white with gray shutters. Do you agree that the afters look better?

Welcome to my Ancestral home in Italy… FOR REAL!

Back when I studied abroad in Rome during college, I re-connected with our Italian relatives- also the Brandolinis- who live in the Abruzzo region of Italy. We’ve since met up numerous times, the last being this May when I got to spend 2 weeks hanging out with everyone. Check out my family home in Cellino Attanasio. Our relatives then sold it to buy an earthquake proof home up the hill a little further that allowed them to house their hardware/furniture store above their living space. That’s the matriarch greeting us by her front door, and a photo of us in her her kitchen! Oh what could have been had my relative never emigrated to the US of A…….
